WASE awarded BEIS grant to accelerate development of agriWASE, our solution for the agricultural market.

WASE is thrilled to announce that we have recently been awarded a grant funded by the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero’s (previously BEIS’s) Energy Entrepreneurs Fund, a programme within the Disruptive Technologies theme of the Net Zero Innovation Portfolio. The grant will support the development of WASE’s innovative Electro-Methanogenic Reactor (EMR) technology, which converts organic waste residues and wastewater into biogas, clean non-potable water, and digestate for agricultural use.

This funding will see the next generation of energy pioneers drive forward cheap and sustainable low-carbon technologies. This will not only deliver green jobs and lower the costs of energy to businesses but also foster world-leading solutions to net zero and economic growth.

WASE’s EMR technology has the potential to revolutionize the energy and waste management industries by helping businesses to become circular, reduce their carbon output, and save money on energy and waste management costs. The grant from BEIS will enable WASE to further develop its EMR technology and accelerate bringing it to market.

The EMR technology works by converting organic waste into an energy dense biogas, a renewable source of energy. This biogas can then be used to generate electricity, heat, or fuel for vehicles, reducing the need for fossil fuels and helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, the clean water produced by the EMR technology can be used for irrigation, reducing the need for potable water in agriculture and helping to conserve this precious resource.

WASE’s EMR technology is particularly well-suited for the agricultural market, and the company plans to use the Energy Entrepreneurs Fund grant to develop and trial its agriWASE system. This system will help farmers to reduce their carbon footprint and save money on energy and waste management costs, while also improving the quality of the soil through the use of digestate, a nutrient-rich by-product of the EMR technology.

WASE’s winning of the Energy Entrepreneurs Fund grant is a significant achievement, and it is a testament to the company’s innovative and sustainable approach to energy and waste management. The grant will help WASE to continue its mission of developing sustainable energy solutions that benefit both the environment and the economy.

In conclusion, WASE Limited’s winning of the BEIS Energy Entrepreneurs Fund grant is a major milestone for the company and a significant step forward for the UK’s energy and waste management industries. With its innovative EMR technology, WASE has the potential to revolutionize the way businesses approach energy and waste management, helping to create a more sustainable future for all.
