We are looking for a Process Engineer Lead to share our vision and provide site design, commission and O&M support making waste the fuel of the future.
Salary : £52,000 – £75,000 + car allowance
Location: Split between our HQ in Bristol, Sites Nationwide and Remote Working.

About WASE
As our Senior Process Engineer, you will be pivotal in guaranteeing the successful delivery of the complete engineering package, ensuring it adheres strictly to the scope and budget agreed with our commercial and operations teams.
You will be responsible for overseeing the entire engineering design and implementation process, liaising closely with both the customer and internal WASE teams to ensure requirements are met. Foundational to this role is an uncompromising commitment to safety; you will ensure 100% compliance with all site H&S standards (including construction, commissioning, and O&M) and relevant regulations such as RAMS, DSEAR, HAZOP, COSHH, and HACCP.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordination and delivery of all assigned project engineering including process, mechanical, electrical, automation, civil and permitting.
- Working with operations and commercial team to develop; engineering design, costing and contributing to contract development which maintain customer value
- Working with the R&D team to enhance system performance and customer value; from installation, commissioning, and operational learnings.
Key Skills and Traits
- Proven experience delivering; design, commission and operations of AD/WW/EfW plant.
- Experience of project budgeting from project conception. Budget forecasting and management.
- Experience of management of variations
- Specification and procurement for project equipment and components.
- Ad-hoc support of ongoing operations. Handover document preparation.
- Proven and extensive competency and understanding of Safe Systems of Work. Will ensure compliance in all aspect of work personally and of others. HSE Regs (including const., comm., O&M). RAMS, DSEAR, HAZOP, COSHH, HACCP.
- Exemplary cashflow management including setting out achievable (delivery/monetary) milestones for WASE ongoing operations
- Can engender team cohesion and development. Willing to develop team to push themselves and encourage autonomy where applicable.
